Fayrene & Steve, The Fouty's

For over twenty years Fayrene & Steve have spent at least part of the year traveling across the country singing and sharing their music, their hearts and their lives. They have released four albums, Love Yourself, Rhythm Of Life and Each Breath That We Take and Emerging!.  They are getting ready to head into the studio working on a praise/worship project.

Whether you hear Fayrene & Steve live or on CD, it doesn’t take long to figure out there’s no pretense here; just honest, straight-from-the-heart songs packed with energy and emotion. In person, they share the experiences of their lives that lead them to the writing of their songs.

"We are spirits in a body," says Fayrene, "so every experience of our lives contains a spiritual purpose." As Steve says, "Our music and our sharing is all about realizing the wonderful, yet mysterious purpose each one of us has for being here on earth at this time. It's fun and exciting but also challenging and soul-searching, and I think our music is a reflection of all of these emotions."

Born and raised in southeast Missouri not far from Memphis, Tennessee, Fayrene croons with an authentic country-blues sound often compared to Patsy Cline and Bonnie Raitt. Brought up in rural, central Indiana, Steve’s harmonies bend around Fayrene’s lead vocal so tightly that, at times, it is impossible to tell who’s voice is who’s.

Though The Fouty’s musical roots come from country, blues, easy-listening and gospel, they write and perform songs from all genres. The album "Love Yourself" explores raggae, tribal music and a little R&B. 

The Fouty’s began singing together as part of a traveling ministry. Reminding people of their true identity in Christ and their real purpose for being here on earth is a primary focus of their live music celebrations. "Life is life and life is precious wherever you are," says Steve. We sing and share in a wide variety of outlets, but we have found it to be true that every one is searching for love, peace, joy and fulfillment.  We all want to experience the wonderful and mysterious rhythm of life.  Our music encourages, uplifts and inspires people to discover their own unique rhythm and then express it to the fullest potential.  It is amazing what rhythm can do!"

"Our musical expression is all about keeping a positive outlook on life; enjoying the good times, keeping the faith during the difficult times and seeing the deeper meaning behind all of our experiences" explains Steve.

Fayrene & Steve perform at concerts, conventions, company parties, weddings, churches, receptions and other social or private gatherings.
